Here’s What We Do, Why It Matters, and How We Back It Up

At Reeves Company, sustainability is not a separate initiative. It is part of how we operate and how we show up as a supplier.

Our approach is practical and grounded in action. We focus on reducing impact where it makes sense, operating responsibly, and making decisions that hold up under review. For the hospitality, uniform, transportation, and retail organizations we support, sustainability needs to align with operational reliability, compliance requirements, and long-term value.

What We Do

We focus on sustainability through the way our products are made, shipped, and supported.

This includes:

  • Making responsible material choices wherever possible

  • Reducing unnecessary packaging waste

  • Maintaining ethical labor and business practices

  • Supporting local environmental and community initiatives

These efforts are built into our day-to-day operations and decision-making.

Why It Matters

Our customers operate in environments where consistency and accountability matter. Supplier decisions can affect brand reputation, operational efficiency, and internal compliance.

Sustainability matters because it:

  • Reduces risk across the supply chain

  • Supports corporate responsibility and ESG expectations

  • Aligns with procurement and compliance standards

  • Reflects how organizations are expected to operate today

Our approach emphasizes consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement while avoiding overstated claims or unnecessary risk.

How we back it up

We support our approach with specific actions, external validation, and ongoing involvement.

  • Responsible Materials & Product Decisions

    • Phasing out plastic tubes from our shipping materials to reduce unnecessary packaging waste
    • Incorporating post-consumer recycled plastic into name badges where feasible
    • Offering wood name badges as a renewable material option
    • Evaluating all product decisions for durability, performance, and environmental impact
  • Independent evaluation and accountability

    • Participating in third-party evaluations, including the Massachusetts SafetyWorks Consultation Program and EcoVadis, to assess and improve environmental, safety, and operational practices
    • Awarded a Gold Medal from EcoVadis in 2025, placing Reeves in the top 5 percent of companies of similar size worldwide.

    This assessment evaluates performance across:

    1. Environmental practices
    2. Labor and human rights
    3. Ethics
    4. Sustainable procurement
  • Community involvement and local impact

    • Supporting the development of Attleboro’s first Miyawaki Pocket Forest to restore native ecosystems and improve environmental resilience
    • Participation in Keep Attleboro Beautiful, a city-wide initiative focused on removing litter, including plastic waste, from local streets and parks
    • Ongoing involvement in local sustainability efforts through leadership participation on the Attleboro Sustainability Commission
